New affordable homes built in Bridgwater

Redwood Court, a brand-new development of 37 affordable homes, has officially opened its doors to local families and individuals. Located near Tynte Road in Bridgwater, the development sits next to Bridgwater College Academy and transforms a previously unused site into a vibrant new neighbourhood.

Thanks to a £9.8 million investment, all homes are available for affordable rent, helping to meet the growing demand for secure, quality housing across Somerset. With over 12,000 households currently on Somerset Council’s waiting list for social housing, these homes are already making a real difference.

Redwood Court includes a mix of one-bedroom flats and two- and three-bedroom houses, designed to suit a range of household needs. The development is gas-free and includes sustainable features such as air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points, helping lower energy costs and supporting greener living.
