Why access matters for your safety checks
These visits aren’t just routine, they’re vital for:
- Your safety – Detecting and preventing hazards before they become serious.
- Legal compliance – Meeting safety standards required by law.
- Avoiding complex repairs – Early checks help prevent bigger problems later.
If your appointment date or time doesn’t work, please call us as soon as possible so we can rearrange it. If you have specific work patterns or caring responsibilities, then please let us know. We’ll always try to find a time that suits you.
Your Tenancy Agreement requires you to give us access to your home for essential inspections and repairs with 24 hours’ notice. If we can’t gain access, this would be a breach of your agreement.
These safety checks are vital for keeping you and your home safe. If we’ve tried three or more times to visit and still can’t get in, either due to cancellations or no one being home, we may have to start legal action to gain access through the courts.
Missed appointments can put your safety at risk, lead to additional charges and could result in legal action.
