Octavia joins the Abri Group
Earlier in the autumn, the Boards of Abri and Octavia reviewed a business case for our partnership, and agreed that together, we’ll be a better organisation, with the opportunity to improve services to customers.
As part of the process, Octavia’s shareholders also met and voted in favour of them joining the Abri Group.
Why is this good news?
Joining forces means we’re able to invest more in customer service so that we can improve the things that matter most to you. The partnership will unlock greater investment in our housing and support services, as well as see us take on more than 5,000 social and affordable homes in London. With you, our customers, at the heart of our business, this growth will enable us to do more, and give those living in Octavia’s homes the services they deserve.
There are so many positives to take from Octavia joining the group. We want to harness the legacy of Octavia Hill as the founder of the social housing movement. We want to build on her distinguished heritage to open new doors, in turn influencing other organisations to do more for our communities.
What happens next?
Our immediate priority is to focus on delivering excellent services, building strong local relationships, and supporting sustainable communities. We’ll continue investing in your neighbourhoods as well as making improvements to the services you receive, based on what matters most to you.
By bringing Octavia on board, we now have a new London region, in line with our approach to providing large and local services. These homes are concentrated in London and within a few miles of our bordering South East region. This means we’ll have new colleagues delivering services in the London area.
We’ll keep you updated on everything you need to know about Octavia joining the group and news from our new London region. This will be featured on our website, via My Abri or in future editions of The Hub. If you have any questions in the meantime, you can email us hello@abri.co.uk or call us on 0300 123 1567.
