Last year, we sent out a cost of living survey to everyone living in our homes and 96% of people said the cost of living crisis has impacted them. We sent out another survey this autumn because it’s important for us to understand how the cost of living crisis is impacting our customers. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond, it’ll help us It’s continue supporting you the best way we can.

We understand how stressful managing a home in these times of financial crisis can be, and how an unexpected bill could affect your ability to meet essential payments – it could happen to any one of us.

signpost and refer you to other organisations for any support needs

Save waste and save money on a “magic bag”. Many restaurants, cafes and supermarkets partner with Too Good To Go and offer unsold food at discounted prices. The bags are always different and rated by users. Available from places like: Starbucks, Greggs, M&S and others depending on the area. All you need to do is download the app, pay and treat yourself.

Share or collect unwanted food items from your neighbourhood. There are also items to borrow from neighbours like hoovers, tables and chairs and other handy things you might not need every day.
Supermarket Clubcards
Many of the high street supermarkets have their own apps that give additional discounts to everyday items and allow you to collect points to spend in other places, like restaurants and the cinema. Download your preferred and see what money you can save.
Everyday items for less
Paying mobile bills
Many mobile phone companies offer weekly discounts for their customers just for being with them. Have a look at O2 Priority, Three+ and others to see what they have in-store. A weekly coffee for a reduced price or free can warm up a cold winter day.
Online discount codes
You can often make savings by searching for discount codes before making an online purchase. Browser extensions offer a way to do this automatically. Honey is free and works with Chrome. Shop like normal and make savings the easy way!
Subscriptions
From video streaming, to music, to your favourite cup of coffee – with so many subscriptions to choose from you want to check you’re getting the best of them. Save money by reviewing your usage and checking for the best deals. Make use of free trials, rotate your plans, and share with friends and family.
Benefits and budgeting
Our benefits and budgeting calculator is another quick and easy way to check you’re receiving all you’re eligible for. This includes benefits entitlement as well as other ways to save money like reduced broadband packages, travel discounts and free school meals. It’s worth checking!
