Over the summer, we asked customers from Abri and Octavia to share their views to help shape our future plans as a combined organisation. Thank you to everyone who took part - we received 2,540 responses, with strong engagement from communities across all of our regions.

Here’s what you told us matters most: 

Fast, reliable repairs 

Top of the list was getting repairs done quickly and properly. You want better response times, high-quality fixes, and clear communication throughout the process. 

Safe, connected communities 

Feeling safe at home is essential. You also value support for health and wellbeing, and opportunities to connect with others. Abri customers highlighted local issues like parking and waste, while Octavia customers focused more on community funding. 

Affordable living 

Keeping homes affordable - including energy bills and service charges - is a major concern for lots of you. Access to low-cost food also came through as a key priority. 

We’re using your feedback to shape our new corporate strategy and make sure we’re focusing on what matters most to you. 

We’re developing our new strategy with our customer panels 

We’ve worked with our Regional Customer Panels and our Resident Scrutiny Group to shape our ideas for our future corporate strategy. Our groups have recommended that the strategy should be relatable for those who live in our homes with clear priorities and actions. It should be evidence-based and reviewed annually, and changes to our strategy should be made clear to our communities. 

We’ve taken these recommendations on board, and our customer feedback and insight will be turned into key actions as part of the strategy, supported by themes from surveys like the Tenant Satisfaction Measures. 

What’s next? 

We’re now in the final stages of developing our purpose-driven five-year strategy covering 2026-2031 for our combined organisation, and we’ll be sharing it with you in early 2026. Watch this space!
