From time to time we get questions about what makes our Employment Services different to other job centres.

At Abri, our FREE Employment Service Coaches are committed to a dedicated customer journey that is tailored and ongoing for each individual's needs.

Tailored

Our Employment Coaches are able to support all our customers and anyone living in any of our properties.

Once you are referred to our service, we reach out for an assessment. This conversation helps build a picture of where you are in your journey and your career goals. We will then identify the holistic support needed to achieve your goals.

Support could be:

  • providing information, advice and guidance on local vacancies, opportunities, and labour market intelligence at a national and local level

  • Access to recruitment workshops and employment events

  • Managing online presence and job search using online sites

  • Interview prep

  • CV design

  • Training, workshops, courses

  • Information about self-employment

  • Volunteering opportunities

We also look at non-employment related support that you could be entitled to or eligible for:

  • Tenancy sustainment

  • Welfare benefits

  • Income support

  • Access to IT equipment

We then complete an action plan setting SMART goals, reviewed at each meeting and discuss progress.

Ongoing

Unlike other Job Centres, we are not bound by time.

With ten Opportunity Hubs located in the South, South West and South East, you have the special benefit of speaking to experienced Employment Coaches who are dedicated and resourced to work with you for as long as it takes, however many tries it takes.

Even when you have found a job or achieved your initial goal, Employment Coaches can stay in touch to help develop further goals and provide more advice or support.
